Upon graduation from UNK in 1983, Tim was introduced into the flooring industry and has been addicted every since. Tim and partners purchased Interior Surface Company in June of 2007, and Interior Surface Enterprises, L.L.C. was founded. As President of the company, Tim is active in the day to day operations of the business. Tim is a competent leader who believes that solid relationships built on trust form the basis for personal and professional success. His open leadership style allows employees the freedom to unleash their talents creating a dynamically diverse organization.
Senior Project Manager
Jerry began his floor covering career at Interior Surface Company in 1991 when he accepted a position as a Floor Covering Estimator. In 2007 Jerry, was promoted to Sr. Project Manager. With over 21 years of estimating experience, Jerry is highly skilled at planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects from beginning to end.
Project Manager – Tile Division
A native Philadelphian, Don joined our team, officially, June 12th, 2013, and he is already an integral part of our team. A unique find in the flooring industry, Don has extensive residential and commercial expertise coupled with the “hands on” experience gained by owning and operating his own successful flooring company. With over 34 years of experience in tile, marble and granite surfacing, Don is viewed by business associates and peers as a flooring expert. Don’s professional demeanor, solid work ethic, vast product knowledge, coupled with his attention to detail and ability to organize, ensure the success of his projects. Don’s work portfolio is vast and varied. Some of his larger commercial projects include Cabela’s and Wall Street Headquarters as well as High Rise Hotels in New York and Philadelphia, and Casinos in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and New Jersey. Some of Don’s smaller, more intimate jobs feature “Custom Homes” which cater to high-end clientele and require meticulous attention to detail and the ability to build mutually satisfying relationships with architects and designers.
Charles joined the company in July of 2000. As warehouse manager, Charles is responsible for shipping, receiving and storing all materials and products. Proficiency in logistic planning helps Charles effectively and efficiently coordinate the distribution of products and materials to the worksite. This works to ensure that our installers have the materials necessary to keep their job on schedule and running smoothly.
Director of Operations
After an extensive career in the automotive finance industry, Janell joined Interior Surface in January of 2010. Janell is a graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Her proficiencies include community relations, dealer financial accounting, retail credit, dealer credit, process mapping, training and management.
Jimmy has been in the commercial flooring industry over the last 10 years and started working at Interior Surface in November of 2016. Jimmy is versed in all aspects of flooring with expertise in the areas of installation, estimating, and project management. Some of the key projects he managed include the “Boulevard Visitors Center”, the “Marriot Courtyard/Residence Inn”, and “The Domain” at City Center.
With former experience both in installation and site management throughout the Kansas City Metro area, Jimmy can identify and quickly address potential issues, problems, or concerns that often arise during the construction process. We are excited at the to welcome Jimmy to the Interior Surface team.
In October of 2016 Shalene Cunningham became a part of the Interior Surface Team. A Nebraska native, Shalene has been living with her husband and three children in the Kansas City area since 1994.
Her accounting expertise spans over the last 25 years working for companies such as Interior Surface, Ameripest, and Floors 4 U. Shalene’s pleasing demeanor, solid work ethic and attention to detail make her and excellent fit for our company.
