Lastly, what does your schedule look like? To accurately stay with-in your budget we need to know if our proposal needs to include night or weekend work. When are the slowest points of your business? This can be certain slow months, certain days of the week, or times of the year. We can create a schedule where we can phase our work out over a period of time, to do our best not to interfere with your business if you choose not to close down to remodel.
After all of these elements are established, your flooring specialist will begin preparing your proposal. We will select a budget price and will choose several brands and types of flooring based on your feedback at our first meeting. Samples will be ordered, and we will finalize quantities needed while gathering accurate time frames to obtain the product from our manufactures. Once we receive the samples, we will bring these for you to review and we will present a budget proposal based on our sample selections.
At this point you have some decisions to make. What style, color, brand, and installation pattern do you want to see in your facility? (This is the fun part, don’t over think it!) Your flooring specialist will be able to offer any information you may need to make your final decisions. Once a final decision is made, we will provide you with your final Price Proposal, reflecting the specific products you choose. After this, we are ready to get your products ordered and get construction scheduled.
You are almost to the point of having new flooring! With the help of your flooring specialist this process should be fun, educational and you should be the one making the decisions for your space.

This ties directly into the durability of the product. If there are specific high traffic areas, we may suggest a different option in that area to safeguard the rest of your flooring.
This also relates to the acoustics of the space. What is the space used for? You may not want a certain type flooring in a space where people are expected to be quiet as the acoustics may not be suitable for that.

Last week, in our 6-part series on updating your flooring, we talked about how it’s important to consider several factors before you start your flooring project.
Flooring comes with several performance ranges. For example, we have carpeting that can be replaced every 2 years and other options that need replaced up to every 10-15 years. This varies significantly and we want to make sure if you plan on moving in a couple of years that we don’t necessarily provide you with a 15 year carpet.
Or on the other end of the spectrum, if you own your building and want the carpet to last 15 years, we need to know that up front so we can ensure we are providing you with the appropriate options for longevity in your flooring.
So, ask yourself that most important question because it could mean the difference in the bottom line.

Interior Surface recently finished the remodel on the Price Chopper in Stanley to provide an upscale environment where customers could come and receive the benefits of specialty foods prepared and packaged in the convenience of their local grocery store.
The color pallet is mostly warm making the shopper feel at home. There are several custom mural tiles in the specialty areas of Popcorn and Deli that really make the areas unique.
The flooring selections are not sterile or typical of a standard grocery store. Creativity and fun design elements were added to the mix. There is even flooring on the ceiling on the clouds in the Natural Food section.
